RusMap 2.61 for ETS 2 1.61: Installation, Load Order and Combination with ProMods
Updated: 1 day ago
RusMap is one of the biggest map expansions for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Since 2014 the team around Aldimator has been working on the map that makes the European part of Russia and the whole of Belarus drivable – free of charge and for every game version.
Version 2.61 was released on 17 September 2026: an adaptation to patch 1.61, with no new areas but bug fixes. The download is about 1.49 GB in size.
The map contains 72 cities – 54 in Russia and 18 in Belarus. This guide shows what makes RusMap special, how to download it and in which order it runs with ProMods and other maps.

I. What RusMap is
RusMap is a community project with a long history: the map has been growing since 2014, carried by a team around Aldimator. It is free of charge and is published through the team's official channels – Telegram, truck-sim.club and the SCS forum.
Scope: European Russia plus all six regions of Belarus, 72 cities
Version 2.61: adaptation to patch 1.61, bug fixes, no new areas
Download size: about 1.49 GB
Price: free of charge – donations and feedback go through the team's channels
II. Regions and cities
The map covers four large areas:
Northwest Russia: Moscow, Leningrad, Tver, Novgorod, Pskov, Murmansk and the Republic of Karelia
Western Russia: Kaluga, Bryansk, Smolensk, Tula, Oryol, Kursk and Belgorod
Southern Russia: Voronezh, Tambov, Penza, Lipetsk, Saratov and Volgograd
Belarus: all six regions – Minsk, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Gomel, Grodno and Brest
Well-known destinations on the map include Moscow, Kolomna, Smolensk, Tver, Vyshny Volochyok, Petrozavodsk, Murmansk, Volgograd and Saratov. In Belarus you get Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Pinsk and Slutsk.

III. What makes the map special
RusMap is not a map for a quick spin. It is built for long journeys: from Moscow heading west to the Polish border, hundreds of kilometres of road lie ahead of you – trunk roads, country lanes and long stretches between the cities.
Signage and language: signposts, place and region signs are in Russian or Cyrillic script – noting your route before you set off helps.
Belarus in full: all six regions, from Brest on the Polish border to Vitebsk in the north-east.
Landscape: pine forests, wide fields and villages with signposts off the main roads.
Details along the way: rest areas, monuments and old machinery – the map takes its time with the surroundings.

IV. Combining it with ProMods and other maps
RusMap can be combined with the big map projects: ProMods, Roextended Map, SibirMap, Southern Region Map and Volga Map. The current ProMods version is 2.84 (September 2026); for this combination you need a road connector that links the borders of both maps.
Basic rule: the connector sits above the map files, and the map files sit above the ProMods files. Use exactly one connector that matches your setup:
Hybrid 1 & 2 Road Connector: Hybrid 1 links Roextended 5.3, RusMap 2.61 and ProMods 2.84 – Hybrid 2 also includes the Middle East addon. For 1.61.x only.
ProMods 2.84 Nordic Horizons – RusMap RC (Aldi): the lean version without Roextended. Order: Aldi RC first, then RusMap, then ProMods.
EastPoland Fix Connector: only needed if you run EastPoland. It sits above EastPoland and above the ProMods–RusMap connector.
Important: never mix versions from different patches. Remove old RusMap files from the mod folder first – otherwise the map breaks or the profile stops loading. One example: the line "Hybrid Plus 1–2 Road Connector v3.0" belongs to the 1.60 cycle and does not run on 1.61.
V. D.B Creation mods on RusMap
Our Traffic Intensity Pack runs in a single version – on the standard SCS map as well as on large map mods like RusMap, ProMods or alternative map sets. There is no longer a choice between two builds.
One rule stays: only one traffic intensity mod may sit in the mod folder. Two at the same time cause AI behaviour conflicts up to a crash.

D.B Creation Real Traffic Intensity and Behavior – dense AI traffic in ETS 2
Traffic Definitions adds vehicle variety and real licence plates, Traffic Environment handles lighting, reflections and roadwork scenes.
For atmosphere on long eastern routes use Weather Effects, for driving feel Realistic Physics and for night driving Xenon Lights.
D.B Creation Premium Package – all mods in one bundle

D.B Creation Premium Package – all ETS 2 mods for 20 euro
Seven mods bought separately cost €24.50 – in the Premium Package you get them all together for €20. Plus exclusive VIP mods, instant download, no 60-minute queue, ad-free and every future update included.
